Antiques. Whiles walking along the narrow streets of Stone Town one will come upon the house of Farok Bulsara, better known as Freddy Mercury, flamboyant leader singer of the glam-rock group Queen.
He was born in Zanzibar and lived here until the age of nine.
One of the houses that claim to have been his residence is one of the most well-provided Bazzar of the island: Zanzibar Gallery.

In the Abeid Curio Shop, besides the catholic church of St. Joseph, one can find among others wooden trunks, traditional beds and old doors carved with patterns according to the characteristic island’s style.
